Burklund Distributors Inc has been family owned since 1939. We are in the convenience store wholesale business. We current operate in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Missouri out of 2 warehouses with Corporate Headquarters located in East Peoria, Illinois. At Burklund Distributors Inc. we are looking for a warehouse worker to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse worker responsibilities include storing materials, inventory checks, and receiving products. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Ideal Applicants will possess: Safety, Perfect Attendance, and a Positive Attitude

All applicants must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation, must be able to pass a comprehensive background screening, and must be able to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Receive and put away warehouse stock products in a warehouse and a temperature controlled environment (0 Degrees) with safety clothing provided
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Report any discrepancies
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

Skills

• Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
• Proficiency in inventory management
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, walk, stand for long periods of time
• Current forklift license or willingness to learn
• High school degree
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour
